Our story
It started with an empty lot
In 2010, Ruth and a few families asked the city whether they could turn the empty lot behind the old chapel on Orchard Row into a community garden. The city said yes. A year later people were asking if they could come to church on Sundays too, so we started one.
The garden came first, and in some ways it still does. The gospel is good news for whole streets, and sharing a harvest is one of the ways we show it.
